A message to parents by a Year 5 child about a trip to theNational Space Centre in Leicester
In Y5 your child will visit the Space Centre in Leicester. This links into your child's science and french lessons.
Once there your child will get a clipboard to answer a series of questions, however completing them is optional!.
All exhibits are viewed and your child gets almost free roam.
After lunch your child will watch a show in the Planetarium called 'Astronaut' - this is a huge 3D globe!
Your child will highly enjoy this trip - you'll be shocked with what they learn!
Another about a visit to the Safety Centre
Year 5 will be visiting the Safety Centre at Kiln Farm, Milton Keynes. This gives 12 hazardous scenarios without putting students in danger. These scenarios range from building sites to farms, sub-stations and garages.
The cost of the trip is £11 which is extremely cheap considering some of the life saving scenes could save your child's life.
It is always night at Hazard Alley. Your child will make a 999 call to train for the worst. Lives have been saved because of this!
Overall this experience will benefit your child and maybe just save someones life ...
